Girls Flag Football!
Since 2022, we have been dedicated to supporting female grade school athletes in the Oklahoma City metro area. This landing page aims to assist in answering any questions from prospective parents about registering for STRIKE LEAGUE Fall 2026, either through the Academy or league play.

As the love for the sport grows for our athletes, we also offer comprehensive small group training sessions for girls in grades 5 through 12.

Yes. A player can play up, but she cannot play down.
But, do so at your discretion. Coaches are not required to accommodate your athlete if she cannot keep up with the level of play.

Since we prefer to compete outdoors, we only operate three seasons out of the year. Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Once rosters are built and GroupMe communications are established, the time, place, and frequency of practices are determined by the coaches and parents of each team. Teams typically practice 1 - 2 times a week.

As we expand our efforts to bring girls' flag football to the region, we currently do not have enough participants to support satellite leagues or teams outside the Oklahoma City metro area. We hope that our parents understand that the extra mile is needed in the early stages of something promising. The enthusiasm they show for this new sport has mirrored their daughter's eagerness to participate, which has been crucial for our growth. For some of them, this may literally involve going the extra mile if their schedules allow for it.
Another solution: build a team in your neighborhood/school district/town, register that team with STRIKE, and carpool to the city on game days!

After creating your athlete's profile, you'll begin the registration process. It will ask if you want to register as A) a free agent, B) with a friend, or C) as part of a team*. If you select options B or C, you can enter the name of the person you wish to play with, or the coach bringing a team to STRIKE, in the following text field.
*Groups of four to five athletes must provide their own coaching.
*IMPORTANT* IF YOU WANT TO FORM A TEAM, IT’S IMPERATIVE THAT ONE OF THESE ATHLETES CAN ADEQUATELY PLAY THE QUARTERBACK POSITION!

WHAT IS STRIKE ACADEMY?
We are completely revamping the elementary division format with a new concept called STRIKE Academy.
Why the change?
League gaming formats for seven to ten-year-olds are clunky, inconsistent, difficult to recruit for, and even harder to retain players. The imbalance in talent can often be too great, making the experience less enjoyable for newcomers to the sport. Our society does not prepare young girls for the game like their male counterparts, resulting in the vast majority of these athletes entering league play with little to no experience or knowledge to pull from.
At this age, we prioritize fostering a love for the game over outright winning.
What is the format?
STRIKE Academy aims to provide a sustainable alternative for our younger athletes. Dedicated coaches will lead beginner-level drills and organize fun games that help reinforce essential skills. Volunteer parents will assist in guiding athletes as they form teams for a weekly round-robin scrimmage, building confidence through friendly competition.
This format is designed to break down the game into two-hour weekly segments of fun, friendship, and engagement for the kids.
When and where?
The Academy will be held simultaneously with STRIKE LEAGUE game nights for our junior high and high school divisions, covering a total of seven nights. This arrangement will make it more convenient for parents with athletes participating in multiple divisions.
