OKLAHOMA CITY
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL

Welcome to STRIKE LEAGUE
Girls Flag Football!

Since 2022, we have been committed to supporting elementary and middle school girls in the Oklahoma City metro area, and we are now entering our fifth season. We have received numerous inquiries from high school-aged athletes and coaches with established high school teams. We're also motivated to encourage our own 8th and 9th-grade current athletes who are interested in continuing to play this summer in our new high school division.

WHAT IS STRIKE ACADEMY?

We are completely revamping the elementary division format with a new concept called STRIKE Academy.

Why the change?

League gaming formats for seven to ten-year-olds are clunky, difficult to recruit for, and even harder to retain players. The imbalance in talent can often be too great, making the experience less enjoyable for newcomers to the sport. Our society does not prepare young girls for the game like their male counterparts, resulting in the vast majority of these athletes entering league play with little to no experience or knowledge to pull from.

At this age, we prioritize fostering a love for the game over outright winning.

What is the format?

STRIKE Academy aims to provide a sustainable alternative for our younger athletes. Dedicated coaches will lead beginner-level drills and organize fun games that help reinforce essential skills. Volunteer parents will assist in guiding athletes as they form teams for a weekly round-robin scrimmage, building confidence through friendly competition.

This format is designed to break down the game into two-hour weekly segments of fun, friendship, and engagement for the kids.

When and where?

The Academy will be held simultaneously with STRIKE LEAGUE game nights for our junior high and high school divisions, covering a total of seven nights. This arrangement will make it more convenient for parents with athletes participating in multiple divisions.

$85. One night a week. Give your daughter a head start before jumping into full-blown league play!
